4 I make no claims to validity on the armor, and it's at least plausible-if-funny. ;p (Probably could have gotten away with "Abbadon Armor" as opposed to "Avadon", but I don't -know- if that's a reference to something.)

"Dragoon" is a legitimate word from military history in Europe. Originally it referred to mounted musketeers, who would move to, or around, a battlefield on horseback but dismount to fight.

Later the term was used for a class of heavy cavalry, who wore the cuirass, an armor that protected the front and back of the chest against sword and bayonet. (It could sometimes protect against musket balls but never against cannon.)

7 Er, yes. I'm assuming we all know that much. (Well, maybe not all. But yes, reading a little bit of military history will acquaint you with that term...)

At the same time, the chance that it was a FF reference approaches 10,000%. ;p
